Underlying Factors Related to the Present Double Crisis in the United Sates.
Hey Brethren. This is an adapted version of a response I made to an article written by Apostle Brian Keith Williams yesterday on the present state of affairs in the United. States. Please share it. You may go to his page to see his article and his reply.
“I have been following your presentations particularly during this lock down, and I thought that I must respond to this your latest article. Indeed, I sense your disgust with the state of the Church in the United States in particular, from either side of the spectrum (black or white). As a Caribbean based Apostle of God, and a black man myself, I fully identify with your sentiments. The fact is that there is a lack of genuineness or sincerity in the ecclesia called the Church of Jesus Christ. This has been so for a very long time now; self and selfishness have come to rule the roost rather than the Spirit of God. It is this insincerity of the Church, ideally the vanguard of heaven, that is breathing corruption in American society. The reason is that God’s church anywhere is intended to be the salt of the earth, and, as Jesus says, “if the salt has lost its savor, from where will it be salted?” Admittedly, society is to a large degree a reflection of the state of the Church. What we see playing out on the streets of American cities right now–from the mindless brutality of white police against defenseless black men, the breaking point retaliation of riots and burning down of buildings and torching of cars, to the total disruption of life as we know it — are all rooted in an ineffective Church. This is the main reason why God has shut us down, the entire society, including His own Church, so that we could get our act together and serve Him in Spirit and in truth. There is a crisis of righteousness in God’s Church; that’s why this fundamental ingredient cannot be found in society; thus, instead of society being exalted, it becomes a reproach (cf. Proverbs 14:34). One has to ask oneself the question, “Why in the midst of a deadly Coronavirus has this racial monster showed its ugly head, as if to devour yet many more lives of the black community?” Why all this calamity upon calamity for a people who have already been battered and bruised for so long in history ?” Is there some generational curse or incessant rhythm of failure that we are dealing with here? Mind you, the white man himself obviously is carrying his own curse of heartless brutality and unconscionable evil. Whether or not it is a case of generational curses, it is clear, based on Isaiah’s admonition (Isaiah 60) that we the Church are expected (now more than ever before) to arise and shine, so that although gross darkness would cover the people, the glory of the Lord would arise on us and His countenance shall be seen on us, and the Gentiles shall come to our light. Are we, therefore, as God’s Church in the earth, seriously flawed and far removed from God’s ideal?
I rather believe this. With the risk of being severely criticized, I am convinced, and I believe it is the prompting of the Lord, that this present racial war is an extension of the COVID-19 disruption of the Church and society, just when cities were about to return to some semblance of normalcy. Why? God is prolonging His beckoning to America and human society in general to return to Him; nobody seemed to be taking Him on, so He has added another chapter to the woes of American society.
God has shown me the Script for the presently unfolding drama in Haggai 2:6-9 and Hebrews 12:25-29. I received that word in September 2019, and established it as our theme for 2020: “A Soul Shaking Spirit Igniting Revival.” Haggai prophesied that God would shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and dry lands; further, “And I will shake all nations; and they shall come to the Desire of all Nations, and I will fill this temple with my glory ….” The writer to the Hebrews echoes Haggai and gave a stern warning that if we do not hear He who speaks from heaven in these days, we shall likewise perish, for God will shake until only that which cannot be shaken shall remain, for God is a consuming fire. God is desperately trying to get the Church and American society to hear Him and “come to the Desire of all Nations.” That is the perspective in which I view this sudden twist of calamity by way of this racial war; neglecting the voice of God now is inviting greater wrath, turmoil and destruction. The Church that emerges out of this double jeopardy shall be the Church that God salvages from out of the ruined and corrupt “church.” The JOEL GENERATION, is about to come forth as a blast from the dumbs. Blow the trumpet in Zion, says Joel, in Joel 2; sound the alarm on My holy mountain, for the day of the Lord is coming and it is at hand. The garbage of racism and prejudice, sexual immorality, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, among other shameful and disgusting practices of this present Church, is being burnt up right now and will be left as ashes behind. Get ready! Get ready! Get ready! for God’s next move.”
