By Wednesday

2 Corinthians 9:10

By Wednesday is a financial strategy that God gave to us based on 2 Corinthians 9:10: “Now [may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” God challenged us to stand at the altar on Sunday mornings with an empty envelope believing that He shall supply us with seed to sow by Wednesday of that week. The three-day interval is to allow for resurrection power to generate our seed (Hosea 6:1-2). One couple testifies that they took up the “By Wednesday” challenge about six (6) years ago when they returned from studies in England; they have since established a leading law firm in Trinidad and Tobago (from scratch) in six (6) amazing years. Their company is now offering scholarships to young law students

Our vision is to build a Church complex called Divine Encounter Fellowship Liberty City, consisting of several buildings and a 4000 seat sanctuary. God has enabled us to purchase and fully paid up for a six-acre freehold parcel at Ragoo Road, D’Abadie, Trinidad. We have embarked on a building program since 1999. So far we have completed (i) Our Fellowship Hall, where we now worship (seating 800 persons), to be eventually converted into a conference Centre; (ii) Our Kingdom Wealth Business Centre, to house “Kingdom Wealth Supermarket”  on the ground floor, a fine-dining restaurant on the second floor and a gym on the sky-lighted top attic floor. We have already purchased all the infrastructure for the supermarket–all shelves, storage freezers and refrigerators, cash register desks, small elevator installed, etc. All this was done so far (including the building of Kingdom Wealth Plaza building) without help from the bank.

God has blessed His people and we have financed everything so far. So at present we do not have any overhead costs. However, we are awaiting and trusting God for funds to kick start our grocery (some $TT700,000.00 or $US103,000.00). Banks have been reluctant to lend to churches these days. God had said to me at the start of this project that we should not depend on the bank to build this complex, “for the bank cannot lend you the money you need to build it.” God said: “I will bless My people and pass the finances through them.” This is what God has been doing so far.  The present project is living proof that God is faithful to His word.  

We would be excited for you to be a part of what God is doing at Divine Encounter, Trinidad. The plan is to finance the 4000 seater sanctuary via the proceeds from the grocery and freewill seeds from those who are blessed by the ministry. This is the time and the right soil to sow into like Isaac sowed in famine and reaped in that same year 100 fold returns.
